Q. How to manage Duplicate Profiles?

Duplicated Profiles

Duplicate Profiles are created when a registered user attempts to register again from a different email. These profiles can be managed from the Admin Dashboard. The admin can choose to either keep or delete a certain duplicate profile. 

If you have Duplicate Profiles in the Institute Directory, you will get the Duplicate Profile Alert. 


  1. Go to the Admin Dashboard


  2. Below the Community Stats, you’ll find the Duplicate Profile Alert. Click on Take Action.





  3. Now, the admin will be able to select which profiles to keep and which ones to delete.


Admin can select the duplicate profile based on the below criteria:
  1. By comparing the information available in the profile. Admin can keep the profile that has more information available such as work experience, other education, contact information. 
  2. By last login info. By checking the recent last login of the user to the platform. 
In case, the user profiles don't fit into any of the above criteria then admin can send an email to the available email id by mentioning the two profiles the user has on the platform and ask them to select a profile they want to keep on the platform. By running such campaigns admin can keep a check on the duplicate profiles. 

Note - Manage Duplicate Profiles regularly as they are bound to pile up if left unchecked.
